Roni Jemmot, songwriter, vocalist, guitar & percussionist is one of the pioneers of reggae music in Australia, formerly lead vocalist with Bdos Internationals; Barbados West Indies, The Undivided; London, England. Untabu, Mataqali Music; NZ, and Reggae Movement, Kalabash (Afro band) Montego Bay (Reggae cover band); Sydney Australia. Roni has also recorded adverts for J&M Slogget Music, Bacardi Rum & Tia Maria which were played on radio, TV & cinemas. In the year 2000 Roni embarked on a musical fusion of musicians from the Jazz, afro jive & reggae roots scene with a new recipe that is known as The Ressurectors. Having wrote five songs on the "Healing" CD release by the Ressurectors through Future Classics, distributed by Inertia Music. Ressurectors has performed on The Block for the indigenous communiy at Tony Mundine's Gym, Redfern, raising funds of $2000 for the establishment of the womans and childrens dance theatre. The nine piece band have supported Fat Freddy's Drop at the Forum, Katchafire, Selena's, Sydney and also the Playground festival 2007. Roni has appeared as Mc and performed with the Versionaries at Peats Ridge Festival 06/07 and as & solo artist alongside The Bird at Great Escape Festival 2007.
